New York Bronx Botanical Garden Georgia O'Keeffe Exhibit

Tuesday, June 5, 2018 - ILR members love the warm outdoors, the gorgeous trees and flowers at the Bronx Botanical Gardens. What could be better! To go see a major exhibit of GEORGIA O'KEEFFE'S visions of Hawaii. An American modernist painter, known for her many artistic images, in this exhibit is exploring her immersion in the Hawaiian islands in the late 1930's.

Her lush paintings will be displayed with gorgeous flowers evoking the gardens and landscapes that inspired this very special painter. We will have a docent-led tour followed by time to explore the gardens (The roses should be in full bloom if the weather cooperates). ILR can't be in that area of the Bronx and not have a fabulous lunch on Arthur Avenue. San Gennaro Trattoria is happy to have us dine and is looking forward to cooking up a storm for us. The trip is limited to 50 people. Sign up online or send a check made payable to ILR to Marcia Jamron, 229 Karen Drive, Orange, CT 06477. Meeting directions will be sent two weeks before trip.

Cost of trip is $110 Membership Required
