Rabbi Michael Farbman was born in Vitebsk, Belarus. He received his semicha (rabbinic ordination) at the Leo Baeck College, Reform Rabbinical Seminary in London UK. He holds a BA and MA in Hebrew and Jewish Studies, as well as Master of Sacred Theology from the Yale Divinity School. He has served communities in the UK, Russia and Washington DC prior to coming to Temple Emanuel in Orange in 2009. Rabbi Farbman serves on the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven and is an active member of the Orange Interfaith Clergy group. He is currently pursuing a master's in sacred theology at Yale Divinity School.
