Carl Barratt, Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering, UNH. His degrees include 1st Class Honors, Math and Physics, U. of Bristol UK, 1974. PhD in Theoretical High Energy Physics, Cavendish Lab., Cambridge U., 1977. He taught physics in Durham U., UK; U of G; Center College of KY; UCLA; and UNH. He moved over to Engineering at UNH in 1984. Professor Barratt has been a Newton "scholar" (avocation) since 1984 NEH Fellowship at Yale, working under Martin Klein, then Yale Professor in History of Science.
