Tuesday, April 10, 2018 - It has been more than 40 years since the war in Vietnam ended and yet we all still discuss the pros and cons of that conflict as it affected all of us in two ways: at home and at war. ILR feels that this subject is still so important that we will go to the NEW YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY with a docent-led tour to examine the causes, progression, and what we are left with in our society, so controversial to this day. The Society has mounted an outstanding and extraordinary exhibition that will show the irrevocable reshaping of our national awareness. Don't miss out on this special day.
While at the Society, on a lighter note, we will view the latest Tiffany exhibit, a small but significant one. To top off this special day, we will go to a restaurant to enjoy several Vietnamese specialties before heading home. Trip is limited to 50 members. Cost of trip is $114. Sign up online or send a check made payable to ILR to Marcia Jamron, 229 Karen Drive, Orange, CT 06477. Meeting directions will be sent two weeks before trip to those registered.
COST: $114.00 Membership required.
